Underlying Philosophy

Meth use and manufacture can leave residues within a property. These may have implications for future occupants and can be costly and time-consuming to address. Dealing with uncertainty around historic contamination can also create stress for property owners and occupants.

Screening assessments are an important way to cost-effectively identify and manage potential meth-related risk.

The higher the quality and consistency of a screening assessment, the less likely it is that issues will go undetected.

The MethSolutions Meth Awareness andScreening Assessment modules have been developed to support the delivery of screening services aligned with NZS 8510:2017. Training is delivered and supported by Careerforce-accredited assessors.

This module also covers chain of custody and reporting considerations.
